1993 – Mary Pierce’s abusive father, Jim Pierce, beats up his daughter’s bodyguard after he is banned from the WTA tour and she fires him as coach. He was well known for yelling “Mary, kill the b***!” during a junior event.

2000 – Damir Dokic, father of teenage star Jelena Dokic, is ejected from Wimbledon for smashing journalist’s phone. He’s later kicked out of the US Open for arguing about the price of fish.

2006 – Damir Dokic threatens to kill his daughter after she returns to Australia after switching allegiances to Yugoslavia in 2001.

2008 – Yuri Sharapov makes throat-slitting gesture towards his daughter Maria Sharapova during an Australian Open semi-final. He’d previously been fined for coaching from the sidelines. The WTA eventually rules his gesture was a joke.

2009 – Damir Dokic threatens to blow up Australian ambassador to Belgrade if she doesn’t stop Australian media reports that he abused his daughter. Police find illegal explosives at his home and he eventually spends almost a year in jail.

2013 – John Tomic, Father of Bernard, headbutts his son’s French training partner. He receives a suspended jail sentence and shows little remorse. The victim alleges he saw John hit his son during practice.

2014 – Mirka Federer, wife of Roger, clashes with Stan Wawrinka after calling him a “cry baby”.

2015 – Kim Sears yells either “f***ing have it you Czech flash f***” or “f***ing have it you Czech f***ing f***” at Tomas Berdych.
