Seeded players Jelena Dokic of Australia, Switzerland’s Romina Oprandi and Spain’s Lourdes Dominguez Lino were eliminated from the Copa BBVA Colsanitas on Wednesday, an event on red clay in the Colombian capital.

No.4 Dokic lost in the first round to Paula Ormaechea of Argentina 4-6 6-3 6-4, while third-seeded Oprandi was defeated by Timea Babos of Hungary 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 in the second round.

Seventh-seeded Dominguez Lino fell to Mariana Duque-Marino of Colombia 4-6 6-2 7-5 in the second round.

Top-seeded Marina Erakovic of New Zealand had better luck in her first-round match, beating Stefanie Voegele of Switzerland 6-3 6-4.

In other second-round matches, Spain’s Lara Arruabarrena-Vecino beat Eva Birnerova of the Czech Republic 6-4 6-0, and Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan defeated Russia’s Valeria Savinykh 6-2 6-2.
