Djokovic wins sixth Australian Open crown

World No.1 Novak Djokovic has won a record-equalling sixth Australian Open men’s crown with a crushing win over Andy Murray at Melbourne Park.

In their fourth meeting in the final, Djokovic’s stunning record remained intact with a 6-1 7-5 7-6 (7-3) win over the Scottish second seed on Sunday night.

The Serb matched 1960s Australian great Roy Emerson, who won six titles in the amateur era, and also joined legends Bjorn Borg and Rod Laver as an 11-times grand slam singles champion.
