Djokovic survives thriller in Cincinnati

Novak Djokovic came from behind to beat Adrian Mannarino in the second round of the Cincinnati Open, while third seed Alexander Zverev was eliminated by Robin Haase.

Djokovic, the 10th seed, recovered from losing the opening set as he saw off Frenchman Mannarino 4-6 6-2 6-1 in two hours and six minutes.

The Serbian Wimbledon champion was joined in round three by Haase after he produced a surprise with a turnaround of his own.

The Dutchman, ranked 55th in the world, advanced at the expense of world No.4 Zverev by defeating the German 5-7 6-4 7-5.

Australian No.1 Nick Kyrgios is later to continue his challenge at the ATP Masters 1000 event when he plays world No.21 Croatian Borna Coric in round two.
