Djokovic confident he can refind his best

Former world No.1 Novak Djokovic says he has overcome the doubts that led to a months-long slump in his tennis game.

The victor of the last three Indian Wells tournaments said he is now ready to start winning consistently again.

“Winning the French Open (last June) for the first time crowned a couple of years of consistent high results and was magnificent,” the Serb said.

“But it took a lot of emotions and energy out of me and I took some time to reflect on things.

“I had to start re-motivating myself and getting back on track. Now it’s much better.

“After the US Open I had those couple of months where I wasn’t myself on the court.

“Now I’m in a better place and heading in the right direction.”

Djokovic, the No.2 player in the world and second see at the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, termed himself “a different player” in 2017.
