Alex de Minaur has survived four match points against Andrey Rublev with his semi-final victory securing a place in his maiden ATP Tour final and the biggest match of his young career.
The 19-year-old Australian fought back from a set down against Russian 16th seed Rublev to prevail 5-7 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 in a high-quality two hour and 52 minute match.
De Minaur will face defending champion and world No.3 Alexander Zverev in Sunday’s final.
