Australia’s top-ranked male Alex de Minaur has met his match, rolled in comprehensive fashion by Pablo Carreno Busta in the French Open’s second round.
Carreno Busta won the first nine points of Tuesday’s match against the 21st seed, who had battled a nagging groin injury in the lead-up to the clay grand slam.
De Minaur, 20, tried what he could to slow the Spaniard’s charge but had little success in the 6-3 6-1 6-1 defeat that lasted less than two hours.
