Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and Croatia’s Mate Pavic have claimed the Australian Open mixed doubles title with a win over Hungarian Timea Babos and India’s Rohan Bopanna
Sunday’s hotly-contested final on Rod Laver Arena went to a match tiebreak before the eighth-seeded pairing prevailed 2-6 6-4 (11-9) over the fifth seeds.
The win capped a memorable 24 hours for Pavic, who took out the men’s doubles title with Austrian Oliver Marach on Saturday.
