No.4 seeds Peers and Kontinen ended the impressive Australian Open run of local wildcards Marc Polmans and Andrew Whittington on Thursday with a 6-4 6-4 semi-final win.
The Bryan brothers booked their final berth in the first match of the day on Rod Laver Arena, accounting for Spanish pair Pablo Carreno Busta and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 7-6 (7-1) 6-3.
