The 2017 Australian Open tennis tournament marks the second year that William Hill will partner the event as the official wagering partner.

William Hill regularly provides information to law enforcement and sports controlling bodies to assist with preventing criminal activities and protecting integrity. This is an activity that William undertakes not just in tennis but across all sports and racing codes. William Hill Australia Chief Marketing Officer Warren Hebard says that “we have real time access to all wagering activity with sophisticated systems which pick up and flag suspicious activity. This places us in a unique position of being able to highlight integrity concerns before a single ball has been served.”
In addition to William Hill Australia’s obligations under the Partnerships Agreement and Product and Integrity Fee Agreement, William Hill’s parent company, William Hill PLC has entered into a binding Memorandum of Understanding with Tennis Australia’s Integrity Unit. This encapsulates an agreement by which the William Hill Group will share global betting related information to assist Tennis Australia Integrity.
