Ashleigh Barty has continued her business-like French Open campaign while the big names fell around her at Roland Garros.

Australia’s eighth seed extended her career best run in Paris with a 6-3 6-1 third round defeat of Andrea Petkovic late on Saturday.

Her win came as Serena Williams, Barty’s scheduled next round opponent, lost to American countrywoman Sofia Kenin while world No.1 and projected quarter-final opponent Naomi Osaka also bowed out.
