Ashleigh Barty has defeated Jelena Ostapenko for her third win over a top-10 opponent this week and a place in the final of the Wuhan Open.

The 21-year-old Australian powered past the visibly tired eighth-seeded Latvian 6-3 6-0 in just 75 minutes.

Barty was untroubled in reaching a second WTA final in 2017 and will meet the winner of the semi-final between Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia and Greek qualifier Maria Sakkari.
