Australians Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua secured an upset win to reach the semi-finals of the women’s doubles at Wimbledon on Wednesday.
The pair beat the second-seed Czech duo of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka 2-6 6-2 6-4 to set up a clash with seventh seeds Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Kveta Peschke.
Barty and Dellacqua, runners up at the Australian Open, became the first all-Australian duo to win a WTA Doubles title in six years in Birmingham earlier this month.
Barty, who lost in the first round of singles qualifying, is also through to the quarter-finals in the mixed doubles alongside compatriot John Peers.
Australia’s campaign in the juniors is over, after top seed Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis lost in the third round.
