The Fed Cup clash between Australia and the US will be decided by the final doubles rubber.

America’s Danielle Collins defeated Australia’s Daria Gavrilova 6-1 3-6 6-2 to even the world group first round tie 2-2 heading into the doubles in Asheville, North Carolina on Sunday.

Australia’s top player Ashleigh Barty and Gavrilova are slated to play Nicole Melichar and Collins in doubles but the teams can alter their line-ups.

Barty gave Australia a 2-1 lead earlier Sunday when she defeated America’s top-ranked player Madison Keys 6-4 6-1.

The winner of the doubles will move on to play Belarus in April’s Fed Cup semi-finals.

The other semi-final will be France against Romania.
