Italian Andreas Seppi is the first player through to the men’s final at the Sydney International, beating Argentinian Diego Schwartzman 7-6 (7-3) 6-4 in their semi-final.

The world No.37 has enjoyed a glittering run this week after he also beat No.1 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas on Thursday en route to his first final since June 2015 in Germany.

He’ll now play the winner of Australian Alex de Minaur and Gilles Simon.
