Dylan Alcott has moved in sight of his 11th grand slam quad singles title as the wheelchair tennis maestro outplayed Sam Schroder to reach the final at the French Open.

Alcott, the reigning champion in Paris and top seed, gained revenge for his defeat by his doubles partner Schroder in the recent US Open final at Flushing Meadows by taking just 80 minutes to wrap up a 6-2 6-4 win.

Locked at 2-2 in the opening set, the six-times Australian Open champion reeled off four straight games to take the opening set in 38 minutes and, though Schroder broke to lead 4-3 in the second, the man from Melbourne quickly reasserted his authority.

Alcott struck back immediately to level before breaking Schroder for the eighth time in the match and booking a date in the final with his old British rival Andy Lapthorne.

Lapthorne, a two-time grand slam winner, secured his place with a 6-3 2-6 6-3 win over American David Wagner.
