Wolves have recalled goalkeeper Carl Ikeme from his loan spell at relegated Doncaster after losing Wayne Hennessey who suffered a knee injury last weekend.
The Wales international completed the goalless draw with Sunderland but is believed to have suffered cruciate ligament damage, ruling him out for three to four months.
Dorus De Vries is set to make his English Premier League debut against Manchester City on Sunday, with Ikeme, who has played 15 times for Doncaster in the Championship this season, providing cover.
Wolves have yet to confirm the extent of Hennessey’s injury, and boss Terry Connor told www.wolves.co.uk: “We felt it prudent to recall Carl as a precaution because, whatever happens, the initial scan shows that Wayne would be doubtful for the weekend.
“But we will have to wait until he has seen the specialist before we know the full extent of his injuries.”
