Seemingly never content with sitting on their hands in the offseason, Western Sydney underwent another massive squad overhaul with 15 new players coming in this offseason.
On the plus side this squad has been handed a relatively soft opening fixture with the nomadic Perth Glory coming to town.
Neither side really managed to fire last season with the Wanderers finishing in 10th and the Glory in 12th, although that Wooden Spoon return does come with the asterisk of being forced to play all bar their first match outside of Western Australia and injuries decimating their first team squad.
They will at least be healthy to start the season but it’s tough to see them managing much of anything in the first few games.
