Saturday gets underway with a Distance Derby as the Nix play their first home fixture of the new campaign.

Both of these clubs picked up draws in their opening encounters with Wellington grinding out a point on a hot afternoon in Sydney while the Glory let their lead slip twice at home to Newcastle.

On paper this should be Wellington’s to lose, however Perth’s attacking prowess does make them a dangerous opponent.

But it has been a long time since the Glory won this derby, losing four and drawing three since the 2021/22 A-League season.
