Tottenham come into Week 14 well-rested after their away fixture with Burnley was postponed due to a snowstorm. The underperforming heavyweights are unbeaten in two games since Antonio Conte’s arrival as manager, playing out a scoreless draw at Everton and outlasting Leeds 2-1 at home. Brentford last defeated Tottenham in 1948. The teams met for the first time in more than 20 years during last season’s League Cup, with Spurs grabbing a 2-0 win.
I’m reticent to back a head-to-head result here – Spurs have been too inconsistent to rely on. But with seven of Tottenham’s last nine and six of Brentford’s last eight producing three-plus goals, the over looks a solid option.
