The highlight of Sydney’s draw with Brisbane was Josh Brillante’s goal, which was his first goal as a professional and one he certainly won’t forget.

Unfortunately for the Sky Blues, it wasn’t the winner but they’re still the form side in the league.

Sydney’s winning streak is over, but they remain unbeaten and I’m sure Graham Arnold will be a little disappointed with the end result after creating many clear chances, particularly in the first half.

Adelaide’s season continues to nosedive. The Reds lost to Perth last week amid controversy and fiery scenes with coach Amor sent to the stands.

Last year, when in a similar position, they managed to go on a winning streak which ended in a Grand Final victory, but I can’t see a repeat of that this season.

The Reds have lost key players in the off season and now don’t have the depth to challenge the likes of Sydney and City at the top of the ladder.

They’ve also had their fair share of injuries and endured another setback with Sergi Guardiola set to miss a significant amount of time with a knee injury.

KEY BATTLE: Alex Brosque v Isaias

Brosque is having a great season, he’s scored three goals and is leading the team on and off the park.

Isaias (pictured above) is Adelaide’s key man in midfield and has a huge job trying to steady the ship once again this season.

This battle between two intelligent players will be one to watch.

The verdict

In the form Sydney are in, it’s hard to see Adelaide troubling them.
