Stoke defender Robert Huth has been banned for three matches for striking Fulham’s Philippe Senderos in the face during a Premier League game.
Match officials missed the incident, which occurred as the two defenders jostled at a corner during Fulham’s 1-0 win at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
But the English Football Association charged the German centre-back with violent conduct after seeing replays.
Huth accepted the charge on Wednesday and will miss league matches for mid-table Stoke against West Ham, Newcastle and West Bromwich Albion.
