Sneijder rejects rumours about Inter exit

Wesley Sneijder has ruled out a move away from Inter Milan during the current transfer window.

The Dutch midfielder is a reported target of Manchester City and Manchester United but the 27-year-old insists he is staying put.

“I am in good shape and I feel well,” Sneijder told Gazzetta dello Sport. “The future? I stay at Inter, I feel good here.

“How much is left until the end of this transfer window? A week, no? I’m staying here.”

Sneijder, who is under contract with Inter until June 2015, has scored one goal in eight league appearances for the Nerazzurri this season.

Meanwhile, Inter president Massimo Moratti hopes Thiago Motta will stay at the San Siro despite strong interest from Paris St-Germain.

The Italy international has been strongly linked with a move to the big-spending Ligue 1 club this month, but Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Thiago Motta is one of our most important players.

“He has contributed to Inter’s success in recent years. This should make him non-transferable.

“However, the market is what it is and we hope that he will not leave.”

The 29-year-old midfielder, who is under contract with the Nerazzurri until June 2013, joined Inter from Genoa in 2009 and has scored three goals this season.
