Rain delays African Cup fixture

Torrential rain has delayed the kick-off of an Africa Cup of Nations Group A fixture between Libya and Zambia.

Parts of the pitch were covered in large puddles as the match officials, led by Malian referee Koman Coulibaly, constantly bounced a ball on the sodden surface.

The fixture is the first half of a double-header with co-hosts Equatorial Guinea scheduled to play Senegal at 1900 GMT (0600 AEDT) on Wednesday in a group that kicked off last Saturday with wins for the Zambians and Equatoguineans.
