Probably not but he is going to be able to find a way to stabilise this absolute mess of a club and he is a much better fit for this squad than his predecessor.

He can also play spoiler this weekend by stealing points off a Manchester United team that is starting to generate some real momentum on the back of three straight wins.

None of those victories have come against pushovers either with the upset at Anfield their most impressive performance of the season to date.

We can keep waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under Ruben Amorim but this is the sort of game they have to win if they are going to be perceived as top four challengers.
