With a place in next season’s Champions League there for the taking despite the disappointment of Thursday’s North London Derby defeat, Arsenal will visit Newcastle at St. James’ Park on Monday night.

The Gunners should have a clear image of what is needed from them in order to finish inside the top four, with Spurs playing Burnley on Sunday in their penultimate EPL match of 2021/22.

Arsenal’s 3-0 loss at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium snapped a four-match winning streak which featured results against Chelsea, Manchester United, Leeds and West Ham.

Meanwhile, Newcastle has faced title-chasing Liverpool and Manchester City across its last two matches, first falling 1-0 to the former, then 5-0 to the latter to mark the side’s largest losing margin this season.

Newcastle was also unsuccessful when visiting Arsenal earlier in 2021/22, falling 2-0 at the Emirates after Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli found the back of the net.
