Two of the early season pacesetters face off on Friday night with both teams picking up seven points from their first three outings.

Melbourne’s perfect start to the season came undone with a fiery draw against Adelaide United last week and they will be desperate for all three points from their third consecutive home game.

However they are going to be up against it defensively due to the suspension of Roderick Miranda after his red card against Adelaide.

Wellington’s forward line is not to be taken lightly either, they were ruthless against an error riddled Brisbane side last week, putting them to the sword in a 5-2 win, the first time they had scored five in a game since March 2019.

The market is yet to be convinced on the Nix and when you stack up the two teams, the Victory are the better team, so I’m backing them to win with both teams to score for a bit of value.
