Before a ball is kicked this weekend, Brisbane’s chances of sneaking into the A-League Finals are somewhere between minute and microscopic.

If Western Sydney or Melbourne City win the preceding match, then those chances will be reduced to zero and they will be left to play for pride (and avoiding the Australia Cup Playoff).

In terms of motivation, the Victory have plenty on the line with a chance to lock up third place with a win and a draw in the next match.
