All the talk has been about Tim Cahill’s sensational goal and rightfully so. It was an outstanding strike to mark his arrival in his A-League debut.

There was little doubt he would be a success in the A-League as he has made his mark at every club he’s played at.

Apart from his goal, I was impressed by his overall work rate and just how quickly he has integrated into the side.

Melbourne City believe they boast the league’s most potent attack although Perth and Sydney might have something to say about that.

Bruno Fornoroli was the league’s top marksman last season and Cahill is Australia’s all-time leading scorer.

Throw in Argentines Fernando Brandan and Nicolas Colazo plus the speedy Bruce Kamau and there’s plenty of firepower in this line-up.

Perth bounced back well against the Phoenix and face their first road test of the new campaign in Melbourne.

Glory need to defend extremely well to contain City’s attack and make sure they provide good service to their front men. With an equally impressive frontline containing the likes of Adam Taggart, Diego Castroand Andy Keogh (pictured above), we should see a few goals in this one.

The match-up between Fornoroli and Perth’s central defensive pairing of Dino Djulbic and Rhys Williamswill be one to watch.

City are flying high and will continue their good form in this one.
