West Ham has signed Northern Ireland left back George McCartney for a third time in six years as the London club rebuilds before returning to the English Premier League.
Senegal midfielder Mohamed Diame and goalkeepers Jussi Jaaskelainen and Stephen Henderson have also joined West Ham during the offseason.
McCartney moves to Upton Park from Sunderland after playing on loan at West Ham last season.
He won the team’s Player of the Year award after helping it earn promotion into top-tier English football.
He also played for the Hammers from 2006-08.
