Socceroos midfielder Mile Jedinak could become the latest Australian to play in the English Premier League with reports linking him to Stoke City.
England’s Mirror Online reports Stoke boss Tony Pulis is making a surprise STG2.5 million ($A3.79 million) offer to sign the tough midfielder from Championship side Crystal Palace.
The former Central Coast Mariner impressed in two recent FA Cup ties against the Potters and Pulis is keen to do a deal before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
Jedinak, 28, has been hugely impressive this season as captain of Palace, who are fifth in the Championship and in contention for promotion.
He’s played in 27 of his side’s 28 league games, scoring twice, and has 18 months left on his contract.
Bolton are also reportedly interested in signing Jedinak, who has 37 caps for Australia and has been a mainstay of the team in recent years.
A move would see him join fellow Socceroos Brett Holman, Mark Schwarzer, Adam Federici and Brad Jones in the Premier League.
