Midfielder Lucho Gonzalez looks poised to return to Porto from Marseille.
The 31-year-old, who left the Portuguese side for Ligue 1 in 2009, impressed as Marseille won the French title and the League Cup in 2010.
However, he has struggled for form this season, scoring just two goals in 19 matches.
A statement on Marseille’s official website, www.om.net, read: “Marseille and Porto have reached an agreement in principle for the final transfer of Argentinian midfielder Lucho Gonzalez to the Portuguese club. This transfer will be formalised in the coming hours.”
