While their form in the Champions League and FA Cup has been strong, there are some troubling inconsistencies with Villa’s Premier League form.

They have not won a league match since January 16, an ugly 1-0 victory over Everton.

Since then, they have four draws and a defeat on their ledger although their performance to take a point off Liverpool on Thursday morning was at least something positive.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are coming off back to back defeats against Brighton in the cup and then Premier League, and they have had their issues with Villa in the past.
