Arsenal took pole position in the race for fourth spot in the English Premier League with a 2-1 victory at Liverpool on Saturday.
Robin van Persie, who had equalised in the first half, won it for Arsenal in injury time with a brilliant volley to put them three points clear of Chelsea in fourth.
Liverpool dominated possession and chances but hit the post twice and had a penalty saved as their hopes of fourth drifted away.
An own goal put them in front in the first half but Van Persie headed the equaliser and then struck in time added-on to clinch all three points.
Liverpool remain seventh with a game in hand but are now 10 points off the pace.
Later on Saturday, leaders Manchester City will try to extend their two-point lead over Manchester United by beating struggling Bolton Wanderers.
