Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala deny they have sacked head coach Yury Krasnozhan after less than two months in charge.
An Anzhi spokesman said that the club had sacked general director Soslan Soziev but that Krasnozhan remained in charge of the team.
“There will be changes in the club headquarters,” Anzhi deputy president German Chistyakov said.
“We have serious reasons for those changes.”
Earlier local media reported that Anzhi, who are currently preparing for the domestic league restart in a training camp in Spain, had decided to part ways with the 48-year-old Krasnozhan, who took over the club in December.
Anzhi, founded in 1991, had enjoyed little success in Russian football until being acquired by tycoon Suleyman Kerimov this year and going on a spending spree that landed them Samuel Eto’o and Roberto Carlos.
