Australia’s Olympic champion women’s team will play in an expanded Sydney Sevens event in 2017.
After the inaugural men’s event in Sydney last season, the women’s side will join a three-day tournament between February 3 and February 5 at Allianz Stadium.
“I am incredibly excited for our women’s team to have the opportunity to play in an official tournament in front of their home fans,” Australian Rugby Union chief executive Bill Pulver said.
