The Waratahs have lost their past five games against the Lions and haven’t beaten their rivals since 2014, but they will still go into this clash as narrow favourites.
They look severely under the odds at their current price of $1.67.
The Waratahs have won only two of their past seven games as home favourites for a clear loss and they went into the bye on the back of a particularly uninspiring performance against the Rebels.
The Lions are also coming off the bye and they do look like a side that is better than their current record suggests.
They gave the Stormers a serious scare in their most recent outing and a repeat of that effort would be enough to overcome the Waratahs.
Taking on the Waratahs has proven to be a winning play all season long and there is no reason to change that strategy for this clash.
