Wallaby Hanigan out for battered Tahs

Wallabies forward Ned Hanigan will miss at least two Super Rugby games while three other NSW Waratahs forwards are nursing knocks after their heartbreaking loss to the Crusaders.

Lock Rob Simmons hurt a shoulder while hooker Damien Fitzpatrick and flanker Will Miller suffered head knocks.

However, they are still rated a chance of facing the Highlanders at Allianz Stadium on Saturday.

Not so lock-flanker Hanigan, who suffered a medial ligament knee injury in the match in Christchurch, in which NSW led 29-0 before the Crusaders produced the biggest comeback in Super Rugby to prevail 31-29.

“He (Hanigan) got cleaned out from the side just twisted his knee a bit, he’s pretty tender and in a brace coming back from New Zealand yesterday,” Waratahs attack coach Chris Malone said.
