Michael Cheika is set to be announced as the new Wallabies coach on Wednesday afternoon.
The Australian Rugby Union has called a 12.30pm (AEDT) media conference in Sydney to unveil the coaching appointment following several days of negotiations.
Cheika, who guided the NSW Waratahs to their maiden Super Rugby title this year, is expected to have secured a three-year deal to replace Ewen McKenzie, who resigned on Saturday following Australia’s 29-28 Bledisloe Cup loss to New Zealand in Brisbane.
