Wallabies confirm French tour dates

The Wallabies will play France in three Tests next year at Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, the Australian Rugby Union has confirmed.

In what will be the first tour to Australia by France since 2009, the Wallabies will play Les Bleus at Suncorp Stadium on June 7, Etihad Stadium on June 14 and then a final fixture on June 21 at Allianz Stadium in Sydney.

The teams have played each other 42 times at Test level with Australia winning 23, France 17 and two matches finishing in draws.

The last time France toured Australia they departed with a 22-6 defeat in Sydney.

The tour will come after the Six Nations in Europe, which will be held in February and March next year.

France will be aiming to improve after finishing last in this year’s Six Nations.
