Wales caretaker coach Rob Howley will field three debutants for this weekend’s clash against the Barbarians in Cardiff.
Howley has handed Test debuts to Scarlets full-back Liam Williams and prop Rhodri Jones, and teenage Cardiff wing Harry Robinson.
It could also be a landmark occasion for Robinson’s Blues teammate Martyn Williams, who will win his 100th cap if he comes off the bench against a Barbarians team who beat Ireland on Tuesday but lost to England on the weekend.
Williams is set to join Welsh centurions Stephen Jones and Gareth Thomas by reaching the three-figure landmark.
Scarlets hooker Matthew Rees will captain a Wales side that includes locks Alun Wyn Jones and Ian Evans, plus number eight Ryan Jones.
There are returns to the Test arena for Ospreys centre Andrew Bishop and fly-half Dan Biggar, who both played key roles in last Sunday’s Celtic League title-clinching victory over European champions Leinster in Dublin.
The bench also includes uncapped Scarlets centre Adam Warren for Wales’ final game before embarking on a three-Test tour to Australia.
“We have picked a side on form, with an eye on bringing players through for the future, but very much with the intention of getting the summer campaign off to a winning start,” Howley said.
