Tomas Cubelli to debut in Brumbies trial

Argentinian scrumhalf Tomas Cubelli will make his Brumbies debut in Saturday’s Super Rugby trial match against the NSW Waratahs in Wagga Wagga.

The 45-cap Puma, who signed a two-year deal with the club, was on Thursday named in a 31-man squad, alongside fellow new recruit and former Queensland Red Aidan Toua at fullback.

Wallabies skipper Stephen Moore has been rested, as have fellow World Cup stars Christian Lealiifano, David Pocock and Scott Fardy.

Test stars Matt Toomua, Ben Alexander, Sam Carter and Josh Mann-Rea will all start the match, while Tevita Kuridrani and Joe Tomane have been named as replacements.
