Chiefs prop Ben Tameifuna has been cited for a dangerous tackle in Saturday night’s 37-6 Super Rugby final win against the Sharks in Hamilton.

Tameifuna’s shoulder-high tackle on Sharks No.8 Ryan Kankowski came in the 47th minute.

Super Rugby’s citing commissioner reviewed the tackle and decided it met the red card threshold for foul play.

Sanzar duty judicial officer Nicholas Davidson will consider the citing.
