Queensland Reds lock Cadeyrn Neville says a Super Rugby win over the Western Force on Saturday night would go a long way towards quelling growing supporter angst.

Predictions of a long, tough season ahead for the rebuilding Reds appear to be on the money following their season-opening 30-10 loss to the NSW Waratahs at the weekend.

But Neville said a strong performance against the Force could help convince sceptics that the Richard Graham-coached side is on the right track.
