Reds make five changes for Rebels clash

Queensland have made five changes to their jet-lagged line-up to face the Melbourne Rebels in the Super Rugby clash at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.

Flankers Beau Robinson and Ed Quirk have been injected into the starting side while James Hanson will start at hooker ahead of Saia Faingaa.

Utility back Ben Lucas returns at fullback for the injured Jono Lance (neck) while Ben Tapuai returns at outside centre in place of Chris Feauai-Sautia (hamstring).

The Reds took more than 40 hours to fly home from South Africa after their flight was delayed and then cancelled.

They suffered two losses on that tour and will be desperate to arrest the trend and keep their top-six hopes alive.

The Rebels are on a high after rare back-to-back wins including a last-start victory over the NSW Waratahs.

Queensland Reds: Ben Lucas, Rod Davies, Ben Tapuai, Anthony Faingaa, Luke Morahan, Quade Cooper, Will Genia, Jake Schatz, Beau Robinson, Ed Quirk, James Horwill (capt), Rob Simmons, James Slipper, James Hanson, Greg Holmes. Res: Saia Faingaa, Ben Daley, Ed O’Donoghue, Radike Samo, Liam Gill, Nick Frisby, Mike Harris.
