The Melbourne Rebels have signed young NSW Waratahs centre David Horwitz despite the ongoing uncertainty over the Super Rugby side’s future.
The 22-year-old will head south for the 2018 season in search of more game time, which he’s likely to get with the departure of Rebels backs Mitch Inman and Jack Debreczeni.
The Western Force or Melbourne, who play their last game of the season against the Jaguares on Friday night at AAMI Park, will be cut from the competition by the Australian Rugby Union.
