Rebel Tim Davidson calls it quits

Melbourne Rebels back-rower Tim Davidson has announced his retirement from Super Rugby.

Davidson played for the Waratahs, Western Force and most recently the Rebels, as well as a storied stint in Sydney club rugby with Sydney University.

The 30-year-old has been club captain at the Rebels, working under Rebels coach Damien Hill for much of his career.

Hill also coached at Sydney University.

“I’ve been very fortunate that Tim has been part of the teams that I’ve coached over the last eight years,” said Hill.

“Tim is the best young leader I’ve had the pleasure to work with and I’d personally like to thank him for all he has done for the team and the Rebels over the last three years.”
