The NSW Waratahs are investigating after halfback Nick Phipps was kicked out of a Sydney pub for urinating on the bar the night after their 29-0 Super Rugby loss to the Lions, Fairfax Media reports.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that a “pretty blind” Phipps, 29, was celebrating his buck’s party and was ejected from the Woollahra Hotel at about 9.45pm on Saturday, April 21.
Phipps apologised and no further action was taken by the venue but the incident comes at a time when the Waratahs continue to battle issues both on and off the field.
They host the Blues at Brookvale Oval on Saturday bidding to break a 36-game winning streak by New Zealand teams against Australian opposition.
