New Zealand outclassed Kenya 31-7 on Saturday to continue an effortless start to pool play in their Hong Kong sevens campaign.
Following an opening 33-12 defeat of France on Friday, the New Zealanders again scored five tries to guarantee a place in the quarter-finals.
Captain DJ Forbes scored two tries while the others went to Sherwin Stowers, Tim Mikkelson and Sam Dickson.
The scores were locked at 7-7 until late in the first half before the series leaders showed why they will be hard to beat this weekend.
The other unbeaten teams after two rounds of pool play are Fiji, Canada, Wales and Portugal.
The Portuguese stunned Samoa 14-10 while a strong England team have been toppled twice in the same pool – by Scotland and Samoa – to rule them out of the quarter-finals.
New Zealand are seeking to become the first team to win two tournaments in the current International Rugby Board world sevens series.
Five different teams have tasted success in the championship, although New Zealand have managed to open up a sizeable lead at the top of the standings with four rounds to play courtesy of their consistency.
Victory at Hong Kong could virtually seal the series for New Zealand. Their 96 points is well clear of nearest rivals South Africa (73), Samoa (71) and defending Hong Kong champions Fiji (66).
