Milner-Skudder out of All Blacks tour

All Blacks winger Nehe Milner-Skudder will miss the world champions’ northern tour due to his long-term shoulder injury.

Milner-Skudder, 25, dislocated his shoulder during the Super Rugby season when the Hurricanes faced the Blues in March and is yet to return to action.

He took to Instagram on Sunday evening to share the news.

“Would have loved to get back out on the paddock this year but it’s a bit too early and still some risk of buggering it,” Milner-Skudder wrote.

“I look forward to getting stuck into preseason with the Canes.”

Milner-Skudder played a starring role in the All Blacks’ 2015 World Cup victory, scoring six tries and being named in the team of the tournament.

Only teammate and fellow winger Julian Savea scored more with eight tries.

The All Blacks will play France, Italy and Ireland twice in their end-of-year tour, including one match against Ireland in Chicago.
